Close Up of Corn Field

Corn

For Direct Sow. Plant seeds 1" deep, 6" apart in rows 30-36" apart. Arrange in blocks of at least 4 rows for proper pollination. Successive plantings can be made through the spring and early summer.

For Transplant: Not recommended.

Average 7-10 days to germination at 70-75°F

Aubergines

Eggplant

For Direct Sow. Not recommended.

For Transplant: Eggplant seed will not germinate in cool soil. Sow in individual pots or growing trays 6-8 weeks before putting outside. Sow 4 seeds per inch 1/4" deep. Transplant to garden using 12" spacing in rows at least 30-36" apart. Don't over fertilize. Too much nitrogen produces a lot of leaves and fewer fruits.
